Echinocactus bargain
Posted by Stuart under: Cacti .
It’s not often that I’m tempted to buy large plants but this time round I couldn’t help it.
I found this rather fine chap in Homebase in Selly Oak, on sale for the knock-down price of £30, reduced from £60.
The impressive thing about it is that it’s absolutely spotless - no caulking or sunburn. There are one or two broken spines here and there, but on a plant of this size, who’s counting…?
It definitely needs repotting as it’s in nasty peat, but I’ll need another clay pan first.
