In bud: Blossfeldia liliputana ‘subterranea’
Posted by Stuart under: Cacti .
Here’s a curiosity: a grafted plant of Blossfeldia liliputana ‘subterranea’ which I acquired earlier in the year. It produced just two flowers towards the end of the summer, but is photographed here, on the 24th of November, with two new flower buds springing from the offset to the right of the photograph, and several more on the main head. Previous Blossfeldia that I have owned have never done anything like this – I don’t expect the flowers to reach maturity, but it’d be great if they did.
